Here is a link to the video footage of the Oral Argument regarding the Emergency Medical Condition case. This is the case where Judge Lewis said that parts of the new PIP law were unconstitutional.

Each side originally had 12 minutes to argue their case but they were eventually granted an additional three minutes each. While two of the judges seemed to ask “pro-insurance” questions, Judge Bradford Thomas (featured in the middle screen of the video) seemed to really understand the issues in PIP and asked very “pro-consumer” questions.
Let’s all remember that this new PIP law is extremely anti-consumer and was a windfall for the insurance companies. Coverage was slashed from $10,000 to $2,500 and insurance companies still raised premiums across the board. It’s a shame that the Office of Insurance Regulation is using tax payer money to fight this case!
I’m a PIP attorney who specifically helps medical providers when PIP insurance doesn’t pay. I tell my clients that if PIP isn’t going to pay above $2,500 then forward the claim to my office so I can review whether the insurance company is correct. My services are on a contingency basis and all consultations are free and at no obligation!
Our office works at no out-of-pocket expense to the medical provider. All money is collected directly from the insurance company.
No recovery, no fees or costs!
